We hope that you and your families are all safe and healthy.  Even through these unprecedented times we remain dedicated to assuring quality education for every child in San Diego County.  Now more than ever we need to stay connected and together on the importance of our educational system.

As we have communicated in the past, the California Voting Rights Act (CRVA) & School Board Sub-District Only Election District Only Election is still our priority for 2020. In September 2018, Parents for Quality Education (PQE) filed a lawsuit against the City of San Diego in violation of the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA). A court hearing is set in July 2020.

While waiting for this matter to be resolved in court, PQE submitted a proposed ballot measure for the November 2020 Election with the city Rules Committee to recommend changes to the City Charter regarding the local school board election process.

PQE ballot measure proposal will be docketed at the May 13th Rules Committee meeting for the second review by the Committee members.
