Dear Parents and Education Advocates,
First, we express our gratitude to all our hardworking health professionals, medical personnel and first responders who are unselfishly continuing to put themselves at risk taking care of the sick and injured.
PQE is taking a brief pause to thank the moms and dads, grandparents and siblings, and others in our community who have stepped up to protect the well-being of their children, family, friends and community. Please continue to protect yourself and your family. We will all get through this together!
Today, we are facing an unprecedented challenging set of events, affecting every aspect of our lives from our schools, businesses, workplaces and houses of worship. We are in a state of emergency. Governor Gavin Newson issued a statewide Shelter in Place or stay at home ordinance. Executive Order N-33-20.
While social distancing is in effect, we are transitioning to a virtual world. We could still communicate with each other and reach out for help. Despite this troubling time, we will continue to advocate for quality education and a brighter future for all kids.
Please remain diligent. For more information, please see the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency COVID-19 Response Plan. To protect yourself and your family, please comply and follow all steps and recommendations set forth by the CDC here.
Sincerely,
Tom Keliinoi – TK
President
