Dear Parents and Education Advocates,

The San Diego City Council unanimously voted to place our ballot proposal on the November ballot! This November, voters will decide whether San Diego Unified school board trustees should be selected by the communities they represent and to abolish the current at-large process that allows all voters from every district to weigh-in on district representatives.

Your persistence and continued support made this historic vote possible.  We need to stay the course to assure our communities receive the representation they deserve.

The most important step for you will be to vote in favor of district-only elections for SDUSD in November.

Share the news links below so we can continue to keep this initiative fresh in the minds of everyone in San Diego.  We will be providing informative gatherings over the next few weeks as we continue to see this through so please stay tuned.

Thank you for your continued support of Parents for Quality Education. We have been fighting for three years to see this ballot measure. And our voting rights act lawsuit is scheduled to be heard at the end of this month.

Please consider a donation of any amount to help us in our fight to bring equity in public education and to put kids first. With only 15 weeks until the election, we need you to get involved now more than ever!

You can also invite your fellow parents to join our mailing list for information on upcoming events and to stay informed.
